The operator said it has installed 70 self-service locker units at 55 stations on 13 lines, extending coverage to major transport hubs, cross-border checkpoints and popular commercial and tourist areas.

The move comes as the city prepares for a surge in domestic and international visitors during the upcoming holiday period, which runs from May 1 to May 5.

Lockers are available at key arrival points including Shenzhen North Railway Station, Airport Station, and central transit hubs such as Futian and Luohu, allowing passengers to store baggages upon arrival and continue their journeys unencumbered.

The service extends to major attractions and retail areas such as Window of the World in Nanshan, Xiaomeisha in Yantian, Sea World in Nanshan, Dongmen in Luohu and the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian, as well as residential and business districts including Pingzhou, Nanyou, Wuhe and Donggualing.

Shenzhen is expected to see increased passenger flows during the May Day holiday. The expanded locker network is designed to improve travel convenience, particularly for short-term visitors and cross-border travelers.
