Ice Hockey fever grips Shenzhen as World Championship approaches

The atmosphere for ice hockey is heating up in Shenzhen. On April 25, a public open day for the 2026 IIHF Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship was held at MixC World in Nanshan, where four national team players met with over 70 young athletes — primarily from Hong Kong — to showcase drills, goaltending skills, and a thrilling shootout. 

The 2026 IIHF Men's Ice Hockey World Championship Division I, Group B is set to take place from April 29 to May 5 at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center in Longgang District.
