On the same day, Dongyang also held a series of flash-mob events at the Futian Checkpoint, Nantou Ancient City, UpperHills, and Dongmen Pedestrian Street, covering border crossing points, historic cultural districts, commercial complexes, and landmark urban business areas, and reaching local residents, tourists, and inbound visitors.
At each stop, the all-star NPC lineup from Hengdian World Studios launched the event with an energetic warm-up performance themed “Let’s Go, Hengdian!”, immediately creating a lively atmosphere. A series of beloved classic Chinese film and television characters made striking appearances one after another, vividly recreating iconic scenes and allowing the audience to experience firsthand the great popularity and appeal of Hengdian’s NPC performances.
Wuju Opera, Dongyang’s traditional intangible cultural heritage, also made a dazzling appearance. Professional performers from the Dongyang Wuju Opera Inheritance Center delivered an impressive rendition of the classic excerpt “The Golden Monkey Offers Blessings,” earning rounds of applause and praise from the audience for their polished technique and expressive performance.
Dongyang-themed delicacies and cultural and creative souvenirs were also handed out on site, and many residents and visitors stopped to take photos, immersing themselves in Dongyang’s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourism appeal.
