As the APEC “China Year” unfolds, Shenzhen is aligning with international standards to enhance its public language environment and global readiness, taking concrete steps to improve the foreign-language translation of public signage across the city. The 2026 Shenzhen Public Foreign-Language Signage Improvement Campaign has seen active participation from both local and expat residents since its launch in January. Participants have contributed many valuable insights toward improving and enhancing the city’s foreign-language public signage.
