Guangdong is seeking to lure visitors to explore the southern China province through a unique blend of sports and culture by introducing a "Visit Guangdong with Sports Events" travel passport.
Launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, the passport features 15 premier attractions across the nine Guangdong cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
These locations include the Bai'etan GBA Art Center, Guangdong Museum, Shenzhen Library, Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning and Zhuhai Space Center.
Travelers are invited to collect exclusive stamps at these landmarks after attending major sporting events, such as the Guangdong City Basketball League and the Guangdong City Football Super League.
Starting from 11:00 a.m. April 15, visitors can obtain the passport via the "Shenzhou Yinji" (神州印迹) mini-program or apply on-site at any of the 15 designated attractions. Self-service machiness for passport collection and stamping have been officially launched.
The passport adopts a traditional scroll-style format. Once 18 stamps are collected, the pages connect to form a panoramic painting showcasing key tourist hotspots and featured sports events.
Applicants who complete their collection will also receive exclusive multifunctional cultural and creative souvenirs, including magnetic stands, desk calendars, and pendants.
