The 2026 Greater Bay Area Spring Pickleball Tournament kicked off at Ramsports Tianhan Pickleball Stadium in Longgang District, drawing more than 200 participants from across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As a public-oriented competition, the event blended “competition + experience,” highlighting the growing integration of mass fitness and the sports industry amid a surge in springtime sports consumption.

The tournament venue reflects the rapid professionalization of pickleball facilities in China. Covering approximately 6,200 square meters, the stadium features 14 climate-controlled indoor courts under one roof and fully indoor competition conditions. With an average ceiling height of 9.6 meters and certification from the World Pickleball Federation (WPF), the venue is designed to meet professional standards while enhancing the spectator experience.

Positioned among the leading indoor pickleball venues in the country, the Longgang facility builds on the operational experience of earlier projects such as the Mission Hills Pickleball Stadium. Its upgraded design and management model emphasize tournament-level functionality and multi-purpose operations, reflecting Shenzhen’s continued investment and innovation in emerging sports infrastructure.

Organizer Ramsports Group has been expanding its presence in the pickleball sector in recent years, developing an ecosystem that spans entry-level experiences, advanced training, and competitive play. “This tournament allows the public not only to participate in pickleball, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of professional competition,” said Alex Yuan, president of Ramsports. He noted that opening professional events to the public is key to accelerating the sport’s widespread adoption.

Beyond competition, the event also served as a catalyst for consumption. Through trial sessions, interactive activities, and product showcases, it drove growth in surrounding dining, retail, and leisure businesses, forming a virtuous cycle of “event traffic, consumption conversion, and industry expansion.”
