Pottery exhibition
Co-organized by the Gansu Provincial Museum and the Shenzhen Art Museum, this exhibition showcases dozens of Neolithic painted pots. The Majiayao pots from northwest China are considered top masterpieces of painted pottery worldwide.

Echoes on the wall
The exhibition “Myriad Beings on the Walls: The Vitality of Life in Song and Jin Dynasty Murals of Shanxi” at Nanshan Museum presents 71 murals and brick carvings from the Song (960-1279) and Jin (1115-1234) dynasties. On loan from Shanxi Museum, they vividly reconstruct the social customs, daily life, family practices, and spiritual aspirations of that era, inviting visitors into immersive scenes and a dialogue with history.

‘A Dream Travel Time by An Eastern Magician’
Step into the colorful world created by artist Chen Zhu’er! Follow the virtual character Kong Lingna in the paintings as you move through worlds of red, blue, gold, and more — immersing yourself in a variety of dreams.

The sound of Britain
Pianist Clelia Iruzun, cellist Nick Roberts, and clarinet player Shelley Levy will present an evening of classic works by Beethoven and Piazzolla, along with melodies from musicals and TV dramas such as “Downton Abbey” and “The Sound of Music.”

Mongolian sound
The Nair band from Inner Mongolia will present traditional Mongolian rhythms in a fresh, innovative way during their live show. Established 10 years ago, the band has won popularity both domestically and internationally.

‘Awakening Lion’
“Awakening Lion” is a high-energy dance drama coming to the local stage, fusing Guangdong folk dance, ritual, southern lion performance, martial arts and spokensong traditions into a visceral theatrical experience. The production draws on Nanquan (Southern Fist), Choy Li Fut (a southern martial arts style), liondrum acrobatics and sung narration to stage a muscular, fastpaced story that celebrates Lingnan culture and communal spirit.

Flamenco dance drama
One of literature’s most enduring tragedies, “Carmen,” comes to Shenzhen in a signature flamenco staging that tells the story entirely through dance, live music and song. Focused on intense movement, striking costumes and onstage musicians, this production renders the classic themes of love, freedom and destruction through rhythm and physical expression.
