Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum has reported a significant increase in international visitors.

During the three-day Qingming holiday, the museum welcomed over 70,000 visitors, with international visitors accounting for 16%, including delegations from Greece, Russia, Austria, the U.S., Kazakhstan, and Mexico. Bill Roscoe, a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering of the U.K., also visited the venue.

The museum has hosted more than 3 million visitors since opening on May 1, 2025, offering 950 interactive exhibits covering quantum demonstrations, AI robots, drones, and aerospace technology. Its programs align with Shenzhen’s emerging industrial clusters, providing a platform for international scientific exchange.

To support global audiences, the museum offers bilingual signage, guided tours, and smart translation services. Visitors praised the accessibility and interactive nature of the exhibits, which facilitate understanding across languages and cultures.

The museum has hosted delegations from Singapore, Thailand, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and collaborates with institutions like Shenzhen MSU-BIT University on knowledge and cultural festivals.

Zheng Yongchun, director of the museum, said international groups are increasingly visiting to study AI, robotics, biotechnology, and innovative technologies, strengthening Shenzhen’s role as a hub for global science engagement.
