Shenzhen-based robotics firm UBTECH reported a sharp surge in revenue and sales of full-sized humanoid robots for 2025, cementing its status as a global leader in the rapidly growing sector.
The Hong Kong-listed company announced Tuesday evening that its full-size embodied intelligent humanoid robots, defined as non-remote-controlled, non-toy units standing more than 160 cm tall, generated 820 million yuan (US$118 million) in revenue last year, a 2,203.7% increase year on year. Sales reached 1,079 units, up 35,866.7% from a year ago, ranking the firm first globally in both revenue and sales volume.
Revenue in 2025 grew 53.3% from a year ago to 2 billion yuan, the highest among global humanoid robotics firms, according to the company.
The full-size humanoid segment contributed the lion's share, or 41% of the firm's total revenue, making it UBTECH’s largest source of income. Gross profit from that segment reached 448 million yuan, an eye-popping surge of 1,568.1% compared with a year earlier, helping drive overall gross profit to 750 million yuan, up 101.5% year on year.

UBTECH was the world’s only company to deliver more than 1,000 full-size embodied intelligent humanoid robots in 2025, according to the firm. Its Walker series industrial robots have been deployed in automotive manufacturing, smart logistics, electronics production, semiconductor fabrication, and aviation manufacturing, serving multiple Fortune 500 companies.
The company's R&D spending reached more than 500 million yuan in 2025, accounting for 25.6% of its total revenue. Over the past four years, cumulative R&D investment reached 1.9 billion yuan, UBTECH said. UBTECH’s R&D team now expands to 948 people, with 430 holding master’s degrees or higher.
The latest statistics show that UBTECH holds 2,985 granted patents, including 1,742 invention patents and 508 overseas patents, ranking first globally in humanoid robot patents. The company is also leading efforts to set national standards for humanoid robots in China.
As of the end of 2025, UBTECH reported 4.92 billion yuan in cash, which it said would be directed primarily toward embodied intelligence development. The company was added to Hong Kong’s Tech 100 Index, the MSCI Global Small Cap Index and the MSCI China Index in 2025.
The company, which was founded in 2012 and introduced its first humanoid robot a couple of years later, said it will continue to focus on the development and commercialization of full-size embodied intelligent humanoid robots in 2026.
