Futian celebrates community workers with launch of national-first service map

Futian District inaugurated its second annual "Community Workers Publicity and Service Week" on Saturday at the north square of Shenzhen Book City CBD Store.

The ceremony featured the national debut of the Futian District Holistic Friendly Service Map, a comprehensive "civil affairs encyclopedia" that integrates public service resources across the district into a single, accessible guide for residents.

This celebration came on the heels of a year of significant grassroots achievements driven by the district’s dedicated community workers. Futian implemented over 1,500 livelihood micro-projects last year, and maintained a 100% on-time resolution rate for public appeals. These efforts have not only secured the district’s fourth consecutive top ranking in "Peace Construction" evaluations but have also transformed local Party-service centers into vibrant, high-traffic hubs through innovative "Party building + service" and "public welfare + operation" reforms.

Nearly 400 specialized activities, ranging from benefit fairs to "Citywalk" immersive experiences taking place across 92 communities since March 23, showcasing Futian’s commitment to its frontline staff.

District officials announced that the week of March 28 will now be permanently designated as a time to foster a culture of respect and support for community workers.

With 2026 designated as the "Internationalization Construction Year," the district is rolling out 300 measures to enhance its global appeal. This international effort was demonstrated during the event by a first all-English Community Secretary Contest, where local officials showcased their neighborhoods' cultural landmarks in fluent English.

Supporting this vision is the newly introduced International Friendship Commissioner Service Team, part of a growing group of 147 multilingual community workers designed to serve as a high-tech, "composite international talent" workforce for Shenzhen.
