Three years ago, Zhimei Huizhi Industrial Park was a 50,000-square-meter cluster of old factory buildings used for manufacturing and freight transport. According to Xu Chunwei, chairman of Shenzhen Zhimei Technology Industrial Operations Group Co., Ltd., the operator of the industrial park, the transformation was guided by a strategy centered on “scenario experience,” combining internet-famous visual settings, industrial support services and livestream commerce into one integrated development model.
It has now been transformed into a multifunctional space that brings together livestream e-commerce, digital technology, cultural creativity, art exhibitions and social-media-friendly attractions. Today, the industrial park has become a concentrated livestream e-commerce cluster.
The industrial park now covers a total floor area of about 80,000 square meters, with its strength lying in the ecosystem it has built. Livestream-related facilities alone occupy more than 30,000 square meters and include 94 livestream rooms accommodating 94 anchors and over 700 livestream e-commerce professionals. Their businesses span consumer electronics, fashion apparel, gold and jewelry, watches and eyewear, beauty and cosmetics, food and beverage, home furnishing, sports and travel, as well as technology and manufacturing.
Since the transformation, the park has served more than 1,000 enterprises, with the occupancy rate remaining above 90%. More than 100 companies involved in cross-border e-commerce, technology research and development, and industrial chain services have gathered around its livestream core, forming a collaborative industrial network that supports mutual growth.
The companies and influencer accounts in the park together now boast more than 150 million fans across domestic and overseas platforms, underscoring its strong ability to attract traffic and convert it into business value.
To further support tenants, the park has developed partnerships with major domestic and international e-commerce platforms including Taobao, Xiaohongshu, JD.com, TikTok Shop and Amazon Global Selling, as well as service providers such as SF Express. Zhimei Huizhi Industrial Park’s transformation reflects a broader shift in Shenzhen, where older industrial spaces are increasingly being converted into digitally driven, content-rich commercial ecosystems.
