Dapeng launches foreign-language training for volunteers ahead of APEC

Authorities in Dapeng New Area have launched a series of training programs to enhance volunteers' foreign-language service skills ahead of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.

The program focuses on practical communication needs in international settings, covering basic greetings, common service scenarios, emergency phrases and strategies to overcome language barriers.

Participants take part in interactive sessions, including role-playing, to quickly develop real-world communication skills. The training also includes guidance on using translation apps to improve efficiency in cross-language interactions.

Officials said additional advanced courses on cross-cultural communication, etiquette and emergency response will be introduced to further strengthen volunteers’ overall service capabilities.
