Bao'an Library

Opened at the end of 2013, the Bao’an Library is situated on the central green axis of Bao’an central area. With a total area of 48,000 square meters, it holds 2.2 million books and provides 2,000 reading seats, offering comprehensive literature lending and information services. Functional areas include a children’s library, a teenage reading room, a Braille room, a self-service library, an industrial technology section, a digital experience zone, and a genealogy room.
Since 2019, the library has implemented vertical management of nine subdistrict libraries, extending its high-standard services and opening hours (72 hours per week) to all branches. By the end of 2021, Bao’an had 104 public libraries under a unified platform, serving 6 million readers annually.
